1. Call for papers
 
All participants attending the TBIS 2010 are invited to submit  papers in following areas:  
   
1.     Biomaterials: functional polymers, fibers, nano, eco, smart materials
2.     Manufacturing/processing: fiber, yarn, fabric, garments, washing
3.     Design: functional design of clothing, shoes and medical devices
4.     Evaluation and test methods/standards
5.     Textile biomechanical engineering: garment pressure, sports biomechanics, fabric mechanics
6.     Thermal bioengineering-clothing thermophysiology, heat and moisture transfer…
7.     Textile sensory bioengineering- clothing comfort, fabric hand, sensory perceptions and preferences
8.     Clothing physiology and health
9.     Sports injury, medicine and rehabilitation
10.    Body metrics and digital clothing engineering
11.    Eco textiles: recycling, reuse, degradability, environmental impact
12.    Modelling and simulation
13.    CAD technology and informatics
14.    Biomedical textiles devices, footwear, apparel and accessories
15.    Biomedical textile markets and trends
 
 
Papers, oral and poster presentations are invited and selected with reference to the research fields listed above. A proceeding in CD will be prepared and distributed at the conference.
 
2. Abstract and paper submission requirments
 
         2.1 General requirements:
 
      • Only accept original paper.
      • Proofreading is your own responsibility
      • Formal language: English
      
2.2 Abstract submission
 
Please complete the “Abstract Submission Form” provided in this link:  http://www.tbisociety.org/conference2010/journal.asp and return it to the TBIS 2010 Secretariat via email: tbis2010@gmail.com or admin@tbisociety.org.
 
 
2.3 Full paper submission
 
Full paper should be submitted in a given format “Author Instruction” in MS Word together with “Contributors Publishing Agreement”. Both documents can be downloaded from this link: http://www.tbisociety.org/conference2010/journal.asp.
 
Maximum 2 papers are allowed for each registered author.
 
The length of the paper is 6-8 pages.
 
 
 
3. Awards and publications (CPCI )
A panel of senior researchers will be formed to rate the research papers and select outstanding research papers for the award with certificates
 
All accepted papers will be collected in TBIS 2010 proceedings in CD, and will be presented to you while you attend the conference in May. As TBIS 2008 proceedings, will also apply for CPCI (ISTP) indexing as well.
 
 
In addition, high quality research papers will be selected to publish in Journal of Fiber Bioengineering and Informatics (JFBI) and/or other international journals. 
 
 
    
4. Important dates
  • Deadline for one page abstract submission:   October 31, 2009 (Extended)

  • Date for notification of abstract acceptance:  November 16, 2009 (Extended)

 
  • Deadline for full paper submission:               December 31,  2009
            (No paper accepted after this deadline)
  • Date for notification of paper acceptance:      February 28, 2010
 
  • Deadline for early bird registration:              March 15, 2010
  • Deadline for normal registration:                  April 15, 2010
          (Paper will not be included in proceedings after this deadline.)
 
  • On-site registration:                                     May 28-30, 2010 
         (Attending the 3-day programme only)
